Tannat was founded in Montevideo by Mathias Nieves after years of building Salesforce for US companies from inside other consultancies — watching what worked, and what got lost between account managers, time zones, and rotating junior staff.
The conclusion was simple: keep the team senior, keep it small, keep it in the client's working hours, and let the people who build talk directly to the people who need it built.
Make Salesforce the tool your team actually uses — not the system they work around. We measure success in adoption and outcomes, not billable hours.
We work exclusively on the Salesforce platform — core clouds, custom development, integrations, and the new AI stack with Agentforce. One platform, deep expertise, no divided attention.
Mathias is a 5x-certified Salesforce engineer who built his career shipping for Fortune 500 companies — across healthcare, manufacturing, homebuilding, and the public sector — from inside global consultancies, working side by side with US teams the whole way.
That includes the platform's newest ground: designing and deploying Agentforce AI agents that automate customer interactions end to end. He started Tannat to keep what worked — senior engineering in the client's time zone — and drop what didn't: layers, rotation, and distance between the client and the person writing the code.
Tannat is a grape from the south-west of France that Basque immigrant Pascual Harriague planted in Uruguay in 1870. It adapted so well that today Uruguay grows more Tannat than France — the immigrant that became the flagship.
Tannat is also the name of the submarine cable that connects Uruguay with the United States. Talent that grows here, connected to there. That's us.
